| Description: | Dayne is a feline - a lynx, actually. Five and a half feet separate the ground from the tips of her tufted ears, and the body that keeps those two apart is trim and well formed. Her fur is the color of new fallen snow, with fine black accents that dance across the soft fur in even the slightest wind. She keeps her long white hair tied into a tail that reaches a just a little below her shoulders. Dayne moves with the careful grace of someone familiar with zero-g, but does not have the thin frame of an inhabitant of that environment. Her white, shoulder-length hair is tied into a loose tail. She is wearing a dark grey zero-g skeinsuit, a skin-tight garment for both ship and EVA use, missing only the helmet and gloves to form an airtight seal. The right shoulder of the skeinsuit is tagged with the CSA insignia of an engineer, and beneath that is a double-gold bar. Dayne is quiet and soft-spoken, but there is a flicker of fire behind her eyes. |
| Background: | Dayne has had terrible luck with work since graduating engineering college at the age of 19. She reviewed her job prospects, then immediately signed up with the local naval forces. She barely made it out of basic training before she was discharged for insubordination. After a couple months of trying, she managed to get work on a star liner, the Cabtle. After thirty days, she was let go on charges of brawling with the rest of the crew and being insubordinate to the section chief. Five months passed with little in the way of steady work until getting a berth on the cargo shuttle Axtreum. That job was to be short-lived, however, as she was soon jailed for assault. The next several years were very uneventful, and work was very slim. Two years passed before she was able to get steady work as Chief Tech on a remote asteroid research station. She managed nine months of work before being let go on claims on insufficient funding. Several months passed before she was approached by Chastity DeLameter and offered an officer's commission and a warship berth as Chief Engineer on the CSA BlackSilver. |
