| Description: | You find yourself looking at a cougaress of surprisingly fluid but strong form. She stands a good six and a half feet tall, and her body is trim and athletic, toned, yet a bit top heavy through no fault of her own. Her fur is a dusty tawny, with only a hint of pale cream at her throat and chin, her ears and tail tipped with a dark, rich chocolate brown. Her eyes are a liquid gold, and her pupils widen as she looks about. She is absent of overly long headfur, and her hair is mostly quite short, even on her bib. She wears the typical Cygnian uniform, neatly pressed with a fit that flatters, yet still leaves you to understand she's a serious officer. Her rank informs you she's Major Cliffcat, and other identification tells you she's a Sciences Officer. A rare thing indeed in a place that has way too many people wanting to be pilots. |
| Background: | Amari is from Terra, but from many years before, back in the late 20th century. A Canadian, she grew up in Toronto with a large, devoutly Catholic family. During her school years, she suffered from much teasing, and also from personal frustration when she realised she had fallen in love with one of her female classmates. After the girl found out she moved away, which has profoundly affected Amari. She later joined an anti-terrorist division of the North American army alliance, and spent her time doing tech work in places like South America and Asia, as well as the Middle East. Gaining a reputation, the Black Angels were competent at taking out potential threats to world freedom, but Amari's team was killed (but for her) during an insane mission, which later turned out to be oppressing a democratic government. Disillusioned, Amari moved back to Toronto, living with her friends. At 27, she was diagnosed with a rare brain desease, and at her death 2 months later, was frozen. She woke up, only to find the world she knew long gone. She doesn't know what to do, but was drawn once again into the army, the only thing her skills are still useful for... |
