CSA Beagle

Background: Beagle is an, admittedly, cheap no-nonsense design that is not capable of jumpspace transit. She was designed and built in almost record time for a ship her size, and even considering this, the class has proven incredibly durable. Homeported out of Outpost Mediterranean, a typical mission profile involves travelling one month out with the crew in hypersleep, conducting a four-month-long survey tour of the Horizon, and spending one month to return to Mediterranean, again with the crew in hypersleep. Beagle-class ships are one of the few in CSA service that must rely on hypersleep; the engines do not generate enough thrust for the ship to accellerate to relativistic velocities. Her translated motto is 'Truth From Shadows'.
