Background: Anniversary is almost identical to her sister-ships, and is typical of the class. However, one piece of her short history makes her stand out. Several months before 61 Cygni went nova, there was a remote agricultural station in the equatorial region of the planet. This station was used predominantly for studies into the growth and harvesting of plankton, and was jokingly called the 'Soylent Agricultural Facility'. The outpost, a self-propelled barge approximately fifty meters long, enjoyed some success in its studies, until a sudden tropical storm rose up and thrashed it. At the time, the Anniversary was taking on foodstuffs for transport to Cygnus Prime, and was the only transatmospheric, transorbital resource available on the planet. Taking off from Aurioch, making a risky low-orbital transfer, and virtually diving from there to the outpost's location into the eye of the storm, Anniversary splashed down within half a kilometer of the floundering barge. Just as the winds were picking up again, the storm moving in and putting them at risk, Anniversary managed to take off again, with the entire crew of the barge aboard. They landed a few hours later at Aurioch, where the two crews were treated for exposure and soon released back into active duty. To commemorate this, the ship was granted the motto of 'Pour le vive du mon frere' (translated from the obscure French variant dialect that was the Anniversary's skipper's native language, 'For the life of my brother').
